A New Tradition

I have been reading a friend's Blog for a month or so now and decided I would like to have one for our family. The concept of building a website about our family to share with friends and family to stay more connected is enticing. So we will attempt to do better at keeping everyone connected to our lives here in Bend, Oregon.
Spencer Adam Montoya was born on 7/30/05. He is now 6 weeks old tomorrow. Cole is 2 1/2 and growing quickly. He continually keeps us smiling with his antics and the funny things he says. We are all transitioning into having a new baby in the house again. Spencer is already 13 lbs and his personality is beginning to shine. First smiles are beginning to happen more often during the day and lots of time spent checking out his world. If only we could now what he thinks. Chillie dog is doing fine, tolerating Cole dragging him around the house by his collar and trying to get him to play by his rules. Often times Chillie just sits down and refuses to move.
Jason is finishing up the season rafting and will begin soon on the completion of his thesis before the snow flies. I hear it is forecast for a "harsh" winter. If harsh winter means snow, then Jason will be busy up on Mt. Bachelor, working on his skis. I will return to work after the holidays and Jason will resume his job as stay at home dad 4 days a week with Cole and Spencer.
Well I guess this is enough for our first post. i will have to practice my writing skills and keep this updated so that everyone can get a glimpse of our lives here in Bend.
